Some species, for examples gophers, who are usually numerous, elusive and difficult to accurately count numbers may require multiple visits where as others may be dealt with in a single visit. Depending on the size of the job, multiple visits may be discounted so we remain cost effective.
Gophers
A variety of methods can be used to control numbers of gophers and remove colonies. The method depends on where the colony is located and their numbers. Special consideration is taken when burrows are close to building or when numbers endanger livestock or crops. Gophers will hibernate in winter, emerge and start breeding in spring.
Squirrels
Squirrels can be removed from the property using a variety of methods. They may be trapped and relocated but due to the fact that they can bite and do carry disease, this should only be attempted by a professional. The time of year should also be taken into consideration so as to not orphan young or release a squirrel in a area where it has no food source to over winter.
Pigeons
Once pigeons have found a favorable site they are very reluctant to leave. Simply scaring them away is ineffective. Pigeons have a homing instinct, meaning if they are removed and released, they can make their way back from many miles away. Being social animals they often live in flocks and will bring more birds to a favorable site.
Magpie
Magpies may be removed from an area to prevent and solve some of the problems they present. They are an intelligent bird and can be wary of traps and people. They will also learn and adapt to the environment, so what may work for a time may not always work and methods need to be constantly rethought.
Crows
Crows may need to be removed from a area where their numbers or behaviors causes issues. They are extremely intelligent and can be difficult to trap and relocate. Like magpies, they learn and adapt to the environment and changing up tactics can be necessary.
Coyote
Coyotes have a keen sense of smell and will often avoid human odor. They are wary and cage trapping is difficult, often choosing not to enter such traps. They can cause injury and do travel in numbers, so removal is often best left to a professional. Dealing with an issue early is advised as the problem rarely solves itself.

Fox are clever animals and like coyotes they often avoid human odor. They are also wary and difficult to cage trap. They can bite, and so removal or trapping should only be attempted by a professional. They can cause considerable damage to poultry pens and chicken coops in a short amount of time, so addressing the problem quickly will limit damage,
Hare & Rabbits
Hares and Rabbits can be trapped and removed although they are not readily persuaded to enter cage traps. The scent of predators and decoys can dissuade them from an area in the short term, but removal is often a longer term solution. Eight Rabbits can eat as much as one sheet.
Wild Boar
In many parts of Canada wild boar have a bounty on their head. While studies have found trapping to be most effective in reducing the population as a whole, hunting can be effective at reducing population numbers locally and dissuading them from using certain areas.
